YOUTH ENTREPENEURS

YOUTH ENTREPENEURS

Our youth projects are designed in order to offer alternatives to tackle youth unemployment in Europe. We offer our projects to develop entrepreneurship skills of young people and youth workers. Creative entrepreneurship and leadership is a path to stimulate young people’s spirit of initiative, their ability to use the power of imagination and their readiness to take new steps to achieve social, economic and environmental goals. Promoting entrepreneurship in education as a key competence encourages young people to be enterprising and to formulate innovative solutions to societal problems and to design products of added socio-economic value.

New or aspiring entrepreneurs get the chance to learn from experienced business owners who are running businesses. They will gain fresh perspectives on how to set up a business and get the opportunity to acquire the right skills to set up their own firm. As they grow in knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, they learn how to sustain and grow in financial stewardship and to make a positive impact in their entire community. We will be using a combination of practical exercises, theoretical materials, and other valuable resources, that offers innovative strategies and methodologies for cultivating entrepreneurial mindsets among young people.

Our pathways for increasing entrepreneurial abilities and fostering entrepreneurial mindsets and capacities among young people aim to:

  • Promote entrepreneurial ideas through extra-curricular activities and courses
  • Empower young people to make them realize their entrepreneurial potential;
  • Teach them about financial stewardship;
  • Incorporate innovative approaches towards entrepreneurship in non formal education;;
  • Encourage youth participation in entrepreneurial education.

The benefits of our non-formal educational approaches provide valuable insights and actionable steps for youth and serves as a roadmap for fostering a new generation of innovative and resilient entrepreneurs.

LIFE SKILLS

LIFE SKILLS

Our youth projects equip youngster with important life skills and key competences, to prepare them for a successful, self-efficient adulthood. The three main areas of life skills we focus on are: daily living skills, personal/social skills, and entrepeneural skills.

We identify the following eight key competences:

  •  Literacy
  •  Multilingualism
  •  Numerical, scientific and engineering skills
  •  Digital and technology-based competences
  •  Interpersonal skills, and the ability to adopt new competences
  •  Active citizenship
  •  Entrepreneurship
  •  Cultural awareness and expression

Educational Methodologies:
Our youth projects put an emphasis on non-formal education. Unlike traditional educational systems, non-formal education is more flexible, learner-centered, and tailored to the unique needs of individuals. We use non formal Innovative tools to foster life skills of youngsters in experiential learning. It is particularly effective to many of whom might have had negative experiences with formal education. In their educational journey they learn through participatory learning, reflection and experience. This includes teaching skills like conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and effective communication. The aim is to equip youngsters with the necessary skills to navigate the challenges of daily life, to develop healthy core values and belief system, to improve their social interactions

Youthpass

A Youthpass is a certificate which confirms participation in a European Youth Exchange. The Certificate describes the activity, confirms the involvement of the participant and describes the learning that took place. On a broader level, Youthpass is about recognising the value of non-formal learning that takes place during youth work.

Participants receive a Youthpass after completion of the youth project for the recognition of their competence development during the activity.

EMPOWERMENT

EMPOWERMENT

Youth Exchanges, or participating in any type of mobility project can be the first time when a youngster stays and work with people who come from different cultural backgrounds and with different understandings of life. They experience the life in a country with an unfamiliar or unknown culture and language.

Our participants come from different backgrounds. Some of them enjoy a privileged lifestyle, while others come from special schools and children’s homes and have significant learning deficits. Through targeted empowerment, the disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged young people are given the opportunities to reflect and learn from each other in a very practical way.

Even in short-term activities such as a Youth Exchange the experience is intensive and a great deal is learnt. Our projects is giving them tools and methods that they can use to cope with new situations in their lives. Through empowerment activities they are able to acquire new skills and make a positive impact in their own life and their communities. They also learn why their voice is such a great asset, and how to become part in group discussions with topics of mutual interests. They develop new skills to gain more self-confidence that will lead to personal development and the enhancement of chances of success in society.

CREATIVE

CREATIVE

Film, Sound and Multimedia
The promotion of film, sound and multimedia will be used as a tool to help youngsters in the development of new skills and competences. Various workshops are set up on the techniques and how to use the tools. The activities lead to promotion and encouragement of social cohesion between young people. In a creative way they will capture new experiences and enlarge basic learning skills through non formal learning. The youngsters learn to reflect their experience, to be creative in expression and visual presentation to help intercultural dialogue through the realization of different multimedia workshops and common activities.

Arts, Music and Culture
WOW Go encourages youth participation in order to stimulate their sense of creativity and initiative. The young people are closely involved in the implementation of the activity. They take part in various activities such as theatre, arts, dance and music. They learn to present their own artistic work to others and reflect on experiences and choices through peer group learning. These activities lead to positive contribution to their personal and cultural differences in society. Our youth projects offer unique opportunities for young people to allow them a new life experience and extend their horizons beyond their own country, culture, music and language.
